A2Aプロトコルは2025年4月にGoogleによって発表されて以降、100社以上の主要テクノロジープロバイダがサポートしており、今回新たにAmazon Web ServicesとCiscoがバリデータとして加わったとのこと。

A2Aプロジェクトの主な目的は以下のとおり。
- オープンスタンダードの確立：AIエージェントの相互運用性における業界標準としてA2A仕様の進化と普及を促進すること
- エコシステムの育成：開発者・
研究者・ 企業からなる多様なグローバルコミュニティを育成すること - 中立的なガバナンスの確保：オープンガバナンスの下で公平な参加の場を提供すること
- 安全なイノベーションの促進：安全で協調的なAIエージェントの力を活用した革新的なアプリケーションやサービスの開発を支援すること
今後は、信頼できるエージェントIDや委任エージェント権限、ガバナンスポリシー、エージェントのセキュリティやレピュテーションなど、A2Aプロトコルを補完する、より広範なオープンスタンダードの構築に向けて、パートナーや業界関係者と協力していく予定とのこと。
